The FA 80/20W laser was simple to set up on my Masuter Pro. Getting the settings correct in Lightburn and the controller was not intuitive for a first time laser user. I emailed FA Support late in the afternoon twice, and they responded the next morning each time. They got my settings squared away, and the laser works great. Cuts through 3mm plywood in a single pass at less than full power. Engraving is very clean and precise. Only tried wood so far. Highly recommended to any FA machine owner looking to get into laser with zero experience!
So far so good, figuring out the right software is challenging.

This is a great laser. Upgraded from 5w to another brand 20w. It wasn't cutting well so decided to get this. Cuts incredibly better than the other brand even though they are both 20w! Well worth the investment
I ordered a laser module, at first installation, the laser module wouldn't start up. When I contacted support, they helped me get it up and running. The unit seems to be dead. So FoxAlien sent me a new unit under warranty! (Maasland, Netherlands)
Amazing piece of kit. Extremely powerful, making everything I do so much quicker. I would have given it 5 stars but was very disappointed to find the Air Assist nozzle does not fit the FoxAlien Air Assist Pump I bought. Very, very remiss of FoxAlien not to standardise such things!
Switched out 5 watt optical with the 20 watt output laser module. Very credible results. So far tested a 8mm solid beech piece: single pass 4mm/sec and at 90% .. perfect 'cut out.’ …
Installing I had to make some changes on the air nozzle. Made the entry/exit air holes larger …to about 4.5 mm. diam. Mounted the power supply board to the top of the gantry with a bracket fastening the nema Y axis motor. Also made a double AC cord adapter for both power supplies.
Only critique I would have is that one, split power supply ( 12/24volt + about 6 amp total ). Should be used. Now I’ve got 2 ugly black boxes on the side.

I bought the 80 W laser to go on my 4040 LE. I had to do a little modification to the mount but it works amazingly well
Honestly without getting long winded, it’s completely worth the upgrade. Don’t waste your time or money on any other laser
