  • With 8040-extension kit, Masuter 3 CNC engraving machine can extend X-axis to 800mm. The working area is 31.5" x 15.75" (800mm x 400mm, X-Y).

Easy to fit, but could have been easier.

The extension kit requires you to dismantle most of the original Masuter 3s and keep the screws and brackets for re-use . I think It's a bit mean not to include a few spares, as some may get dropped or stripped in the process. Also the fitting of the new belt for the y-axis has no information as to how tight it should be. I'm also quite surprised at the amount of play there is now in the y-axis - the bar can easily be pushed on one side so that it's no longer at right angles. I'm not sure whether that's something that can be prevented, but it doesn't inspire confidence.
